Need a new header

Not too long ago I ran a poll on my site asking for feedback on my theme and header. The consensus was that the theme itself was okay but my header was really cheesy.

I'd be interested in hearing more feedback on the theme and header. Also, if anyone has specific ideas on a new header design I'd love to hear them!

I think your header is adequate, but yes it could be improved upon. As you know I managed to get some graphical design done at the digital point forums. If I were you I would check it out there, it's super cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt. I've been messing around with some ideas in Photoshop but I will likely have better luck at dp rather than trying to butcher my way through something. :)
